Inside J. Lo and Ben Affleck’s NYC house hunt eyeing tony townhouses on the Upper East Side

A-list couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are back in the Big Apple — and spending time together house hunting on the Upper East Side, sources tell Gimme Shelter.

One of the spots they toured was a family-size townhouse at 226 E. 68th St. that’s asking a cool $45,000 a month. Another residence they saw was a 3,024-square-foot townhouse at 342 E. 69th St. that’s on the market for $5.95 million.

J.Lo, a seasoned property investor who was dressed in platform heels for her hunt, still owns a penthouse at the celeb-favored Whitman in Nomad, as Gimme Shelter exclusively reported. She paid $20.2 million for it in 2014. Three years later, she listed it for $26.5 million, and it has been on and off the market ever since. It’s currently asking $24.99 million. Neighbors include Chelsea Clinton and her family.

Bronx-born J.Lo is in the city to shoot a new version of the fab film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” Page Six reported. A 1985 version of the flick — starring William Hurt, Raoul Julia and Sonia Braga — won Hurt an Oscar. A 1993 Broadway musical also won Tony awards.

Lopez and her husband certainly made the most of their time in town by touring these tony homes.

The for-rent — and larger — 6,700-square-foot townhouse on East 68th Street, built in 2008, comes with six bedrooms, six baths, two powder rooms, radiant-heated floors and an elevator. It opens to a foyer and leads to a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast room. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the landscaped garden.

There’s also a parlor level with a formal dining room, a butler’s pantry, and a living room with 11-foot ceilings and a fireplace. The main bedroom, which is on the third floor, boasts a home office/dressing room.

Additional bedrooms can be found on the fourth and fifth floors. This townhouse also comes with a landscaped roof and a finished basement that can house a gym.

The other residence they eyed is just a block away.

That stately four-story home, with interiors by AD100 designer Timothy Corrigan, includes a finished basement. The garden level opens with a dining room, an eat-in chef’s kitchen with a pantry and a family room with French doors that lead to the garden.

Upstairs, the parlor level boasts 11-foot ceilings, a library, a wet bar, and a living room with a bay window and a woodburning fireplace.

The third floor has the main bedroom, a spa-like bath and a terrace — while the four floor features more bedrooms, with one currently used as an office. Skylights let natural light flood in.

A basement level can work as a playroom or a gym, and also houses the laundry room, a cedar-lined closet and a wine cellar.

The listing brokers of both properties — who declined Gimme Shelter’s requests comment — are Thomas Wexler, Morgan Garofalo and Tyler Wexler, of Leslie J. Garfield.
