Ben Affleck retired his “unhappy” resting face for a smiley shopping trip with his stepchild.
The actor and Jennifer Lopez’s child Emme were seen chatting while hanging out in Santa Monica, Calif., on Saturday.
The 15-year-old wore an oversized hoodie, cargo jeans and Converse sneakers, while Affleck paired a black sweater and jacket with jeans.
The 50-year-old actor briefly carried a cup of coffee before ditching the drink for a brown shopping bag.
Emme, whom Lopez refers to with gender-neutral pronouns, held the same while giggling at their stepdad’s antics.
Neither teenager’s twin brother, Maximilian, nor Affleck’s three children — Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11 — whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, were present during the pair’s sunny outing.

Lopez — whose ex-husband Marc Anthony is the father of the twins — previously explained that blending her family with Affleck’s was an “emotional transition.”
“We moved in together. The kids moved in together,” the Grammy winner, 53, told “Today” show viewers six months after marrying Affleck in Las Vegas.
Lopez, who had a second wedding with Affleck in Georgia the following month, called their blended brood a “dream come true.”
Since their nuptials, the couple have made many PDA-filled red carpet appearances, including the premieres of “Air” and “Shotgun Wedding.”
Affleck, who is known to have a dejected-looking resting face, went viral for looking “miserable” at the 2023 Grammy Awards with Lopez in February.
The Oscar winner poked fun at his popularity as a meme in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel last month, joking that his notoriously unhappy expression is “how God made” him.
“This is me content. This is me amused,” Affleck said in March while giving the audience a blank stare. “You don’t have to punish me for it.”
Lopez also poked fun at her husband over his apparent despondence at music’s biggest night.
In February, the “On The Floor” songstress shared a trailer for the movie “AIR,” which Affleck directed and stars in, and wrote “MY HUSBAND’S HAPPY FACE” over a scene showing his blank expression.
Affleck and Lopez met while filming the 2003 movie “Gigli,” and were engaged from 2002 to 2004.
They reconnected in 2021 and got engaged for a second time in April 2022.
