Jennifer Lopez couldn’t be happier with Ben Affleck’s parenting skills since blending their families.
“Oh, my God. He’s an amazing dad. It brings tears to my eyes,” the “Shotgun Wedding” star said of her husband on “The View” Thursday. “He is honestly the best dad I’ve ever seen.”
Lopez, 53, married Affleck, 50, in July 2022, and they have been raising their respective children from previous relationships together ever since.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer shares 15-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while the “Argo” actor and director co-parents daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14, and son Samuel, 11, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Lopez praised Affleck for teaching her the best ways to “interact” with their kids.
“He’s just so in tune,” she said. “He’s such a brilliant guy anyway, like he’s so learned in so many things, and you can just tell that when he had his kids, he must have read every book and everything that you could possibly learn about children, and he applies it.”
J.Lo gushed, “He’s present, and that’s all you can ask: for a present, loving dad who cares and shows up every single day, and that’s who he is.”
Lopez admitted that between the two of them, she is the one who has to take on the “bad cop” role.

“I remember my mom saying, ‘I’m always the bad guy’ … and there is some truth to that,” she said with a laugh. “The mom, you get a little bit of the brunt of it ’cause dad is, like, you know, dad!”
But the actress added, “You have to be [the bad guy]. They need that.”
Lopez also complained about her kids going through the stage of not wanting to hang out with her.
“This is the time when your kids don’t want to talk to you, and they’re individuating from you, and it’s all necessary,” she shared. “Intellectually, I understand it, but my heart hurts.
“They’re locked [in their rooms.] They don’t want to talk. ‘Come out! Let’s hang out! I miss you!’” she shouted.
Earlier this week, the Grammy nominee revealed that her twins are going through a rebellious phase.
“They’re becoming adults. They are challenging everything in life. They’re looking at everything,” she said on the “Today” show.
The “Mother” star added that Max and Emme do not follow rules, but she knows they will accomplish great things later in life.
“They’re, like, challenging everything and looking at everything. Which is great, for our world,” she mused. “I think they’re going to change the world, to be quite honest — oh, and make it so much better, so much better than what we did.”
