Jennifer Lopez took a breather during her Ben Affleck marriage.
The actress recently told AP News that she has “pared down” her schedule in the past “few years” in an attempt to “slow down more and be home more.”
Instead, the Grammy nominee has only “been doing things that are really exciting” or “inspiring” to her as opposed to “doing just everything.”
Lopez explained, “That’s what I used to do a lot of. This, this, this, this.”
“That’s the truth,” the performer, 54, continued in the May 20 red carpet interview. “As much as it seems like I’m going at a fever pace all the time, I’m actually at half the pace that I was a few years ago.”
Her “Atlas” co-star Sterling K. Brown chimed in to express his disbelief, saying, “You’re a hustler, baby. I just want you to know.”
Social media users called the interview an example of the “fundamental difference between” Lopez and Affleck, 51, amid rampant split speculation.
“She’s constantly doing something,” a fan tweeted of the couple’s “very different personalities.”
The “Gigli” co-stars were initially an item from 2002 to 2004, rekindling their romance in 2021 and getting engaged the following year.
Lopez and the Oscar winner tied the knot in a July 2022 Las Vegas ceremony before wedding again in Georgia the following month.
Affleck has now “come to his senses” about their “fever dream” marriage, a source told Page Six earlier this month, claiming the actor “understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
He made headlines for missing both of his wife’s “Atlas” premieres and has been spotted sans wedding ring in recent outings — that is, when the “Gone Girl” star isn’t hiding his hand from cameras.
The Golden Globe winner previously spoke to their “different approaches” to relationships in Lopez’s “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” documentary, noting that they had been “trying to learn to compromise.”What do you think? Post a comment.
He explained, “Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media.’ And then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask.”
